Terms of Service

1. What this is

These terms cover your use of Docborg, an Android app published by Stackborg through Google Play. Installing or using the app means you accept them.

If you do not accept them, uninstall the app. Nothing is retained.

2. What you get

Docborg is free to install and use. The free version:

• has no watermark on anything you produce, and never will
• places no limit on how many documents you keep
• never prevents you from exporting work you have already made
• shows advertisements

Some limits apply to the free version — how many pages one document may hold, how many exports you may make in a day, which filters are available. These are limits of quantity, not capability, and no limit is ever applied retroactively to work you have already created.

3. Docborg Pro

Pro removes advertisements and the quantity limits above. It is offered as a recurring subscription (weekly, monthly or yearly) or as a single lifetime purchase.

3.1 Billing

All payments are processed by Google Play. We never see or handle your payment details.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the price shown when you subscribed, unless cancelled at least 24 hours beforehand. The price is shown in your own currency before you confirm.

3.2 Free trial

Where a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends. Google Play will remind you.

3.3 Cancelling

Cancel at any time: Google Play → Subscriptions → Docborg. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling does not delete anything you have made.

3.4 Refunds

Refunds are handled by Google Play under their refund policy. We cannot issue refunds ourselves — we never receive the payment directly. If Google declines and you believe the result is unfair, write to us and we will take it up with them on your behalf.

4. Your documents are yours

You keep every right to everything you scan, edit and export with Docborg. We claim no licence over your content and could not exercise one if we did — your files never reach us. See our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for what you scan. Do not use Docborg to reproduce material you have no right to copy, to forge documents, or to break the law where you live.

5. What the app does not promise

Docborg is provided as is. We work hard to make it accurate, but:

• Text recognition is imperfect. Read anything important before relying on it. Do not use OCR output for legal, medical or financial decisions without checking it against the original.
• It is not a backup service. Your scans live on one device. If you lose the phone, break it or uninstall the app, they are gone. Use the backup feature (Settings → Back up) and keep the file somewhere else.
• A forgotten PIN cannot be recovered without your recovery code. The lock is genuine encryption, not a display trick. We have no master key and cannot make one.

To the extent the law allows, Stackborg is not liable for lost data, lost profit, or indirect damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death, personal injury, or fraud.

6. Advertisements

The free version shows ads supplied by Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network. We do not choose the individual advertisements and are not responsible for what they say or where they lead.

Ads never appear on the camera screen or in the editor, and never interrupt work in progress. If you see an ad that is offensive or deceptive, tell us and we will report it to the network.

7. Changes

These terms may change. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Docborg after that means accepting the new terms.

8. Ending it

You may stop using Docborg at any time by uninstalling it.

We may suspend access if the app is used to break the law or to attack the service — though given there is no service to attack, this is close to theoretical.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Nothing here removes consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
